Talented Students Sponsorship (TSS)
Lack of education is one of the major causes of economic backwardness and helplessness of the people in Bakura Destrict,WB, India, similar to the poorest regions of the world. Towards a goal of eradicating illiteracy in the region, and to encourage young talented children not only to complete school with good grades but also to go for graduate studies, MUKTI has been facilitating sponsorship of talented students.
The sponsorship is designed to create a long-term relationship between the sponsor, and the students being sponsored, with MUKTI serving as a bridge between the two parties. To provide stability to the sponsored student, sponsors are requested to consider long term sponsorship over several years until these students graduate. The sponsor is given direct contact with the students through exchange of letters, and is also encouraged and invited to visit the students in person. Thus, the sponsorship of approximately (Rs 10,000) per student per year is not only meant to provide monetary support, but also for providing moral support to the students concerned.
Phase-I: Mukti Germany has decided to sponsored 15 underprivileged but talented students in 2007 in Bankura, West Bengal of India.

Suporting Book Bank ProjectThe primary aspect to build a nation is education. On the basis of the 53rd report of NSSC (National Survey committee), the literacy rate of West Bengal is only 72%. Lack of proper education system, scarcity of good schools, economic condition and shortage of proper guidance are the main cause of the poor literacy rate in villages. Mukti has implemented various programs for the development and facilitation of education, such as ‘midday meal’, ‘coaching center’ project, ‘Talented Student Sponsorship’ and ‘book bank’ project to overcome this most challenging issue.
In the year 2007, Mukti Germany chapter provided books to 300 students in Bankura (West Bengal, India) region.USA Office Address
